That Face by Polly Stenham
This workshop is aimed at A Level students and takes a deep dive into the context, interpretation and performing of this complex text. Anna Friend both directed and performed in That Face between 2017 and 2019 and has helped countless students develop a greater understanding and achieve better written exam results.

Artistic DirectorAnna Friend is the Artistic Director of Quirky Bird Theatre. She is an award winning director and accomplished actor, alongside an experienced and passionate drama educator. Her work has been described as, ‘powerful and creative’ and over the past ten years Quirky Bird Theatre has developed a loyal following from schools and students across the UK.
Arlo Carter
Actor & DirectorArlo Carter is an exciting and innovative young creative, both in the fields of stage and screen. He began working with Quirky Bird Theatre in 2017, taking on the role of Henry in That Face and went on to tour with them for two years before undertaking training in New York and starting his own creative endeavours, including directing work across the South West and co-directing award winning short films.
