Tours and Trophies! The last few weeks at Quirky Bird HQ...

So, silence is golden or so they say but here at Quirky Bird Headquarters it's just been chat chat chat all the way! With so much going it's been hard to find the time to fill you in. but here we go...

Well since last here our fantastic production of That Face has rolled into the Harold Joliffe One Act Festival and emerged victorious with no less that FIVE awards including Overall Winners, Best Director and Best Female Actor for Louise Thomas as Martha. Since then we have continued planning for you trip to Edinburgh Fringe, when we will be appearing at the Mint Studio, Greenside Venues from August 4th.

Alongside That Face we are currently casting a production of DNA to tour schools as both appear on the set text list for Drama and Theatre Studies. This is all about offering paid opportunities to young actors and getting them on their way into the industry - yes we love this at QB, making it happen for our fab company members!

What else...um.....so a fab One Day event at The Bohemian Balcony for ages 10+. Balcony Jump with myself and Dan Rivers, creating a play in one day, brand new classes in Swindon for Advanced Young Actors, new Young Company performance on June 10th not to mention all the other amazing bits and pieces at The Alma (new classes, 5* reviews and amazing ONE DAY WORKSHOPS) and, Gatecrash Theatre (Shakespeare season soon and beautiful classes each week)

Phew. Life is moving fast but it is BEAUTIFUL :-)
