Creating Theatre
Led by Arlo Carter, this dynamic workshop explores how to create original, engaging theatre through physical performance techniques and imaginative starting points. Students will discover practical devising methods that move beyond the script, using movement, ensemble work, image theatre, improvisation and creative stimulus materials to generate authentic performance material.

Actor & DirectorArlo Carter is an exciting and innovative young creative, both in the fields of stage and screen. He began working with Quirky Bird Theatre in 2017, taking on the role of Henry in That Face and went on to tour with them for two years before undertaking training in New York and starting his own creative endeavours, including directing work across the South West and co-directing award winning short films.

Designed specifically to support KS4 and KS5 Drama students, the workshop develops the skills required for successful devising modules, helping participants build confidence in creating, shaping and refining original work.
